The metro runs from 1890s brick with built-in box gutters to subdivisions finished in the last twenty years. What a roof needs depends far more on when and how it was built than on which company you call.

The box gutter belt

Cincinnati's pre-1940 stock is full of built-in box gutters, and the national gutter companies ignore them because they are carpentry and lining work rather than a scalable product. Hyde Park, Oakley, Mariemont and Wyoming all carry them, as do Mt. Adams, Clifton, Norwood, Over-the-Rhine and Columbia-Tusculum. What a box gutter is and how it fails.
